This page is the plain-language version — the answers to the questions people actually ask before they trust an app with their money. It summarizes; it doesn’t replace anything. The binding details live in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and where the two ever seem to differ, those documents win.

What does Una send to Anthropic?

Una’s intelligence comes from Anthropic’s Claude models, so to answer you, the relevant parts of your conversation are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. What that means in practice:

• It’s there to produce Una’s response — not to train models on your data.
• Anthropic processes it as our provider, under their terms, and sends the answer back.
• The full, authoritative description of what’s shared and why is in the Privacy Policy — start there if you want the complete picture.

If you’d rather keep a particular detail out of it, the simplest rule holds everywhere: you don’t have to type anything into a chat you’d prefer not to share.

Is my money safe?

A fair worry, and an important distinction: Unicorn Money never moves, holds, or touches your money. We’re a budgeting tool, not a bank and not a payment app. Nothing here can spend, transfer, or withdraw a cent.

When you connect a bank for Una+ and Norman, that link is read-only and runs through Plaid — the same secure connection layer used across the finance industry. Norman can read recent transactions so you can review them; he can’t do anything to the account. For more on how we protect data, see our security practices.

Worth knowing about Una

Two limits we’d rather say plainly than bury — both also spelled out in our Terms:

• Una is not a financial advisor. Her coaching is general guidance to help you think, not personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. For decisions that need a professional, talk to one.
• Una is AI, and AI can be wrong. She’s genuinely helpful, but she can occasionally be inaccurate or misunderstand. Treat her as a sharp, well-meaning second opinion — sanity-check anything that really matters before you act on it.

The short version

We don’t move your money, bank links are read-only, what Una sends to Anthropic exists to answer you, and Una is a coach — not an advisor or an oracle. The complete and binding terms are in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service; this page just makes them readable.
